What are the benefits of green powder?
In most cases, the basis of a powder of greens is made from a combination of herbs (such as grass, wheat grass and barley) and algae (such as spirulina and chlorella). The rest of the ingredients could be composed of vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, roots, herbs, leaves, stems, fiber, probiotic bacteria, digestive enzymes, royal jelly and anything else in between.
Powders Green Common Ingredients
Sometimes, these ingredients result in a huge amount of nutrition that far exceeds what is offered in a multi-vitamin supplement, and some powdered greens can replace the antioxidant supplements, supplements for digestive health, supplements, adaptogens and natural herbal supplements such as Rhodiola rosea, and milk thistle.
But sometimes, the value of a green powder is not worth the tub in the that is packaged.
What powder green detoxify my body?
No. The liver is what removes toxins from your body, and not clean and squeeze out or consume additional vegetables to detoxify your body.
However, some powdered greens contain ingredients that support the natural processes of detoxification of the body. The most notable and common is milk thistle, an herb with flowers that has been linked to the health of the liver. (Sometimes used to help treat hepatitis and cirrhosis of the liver). Most powders green contain milk thistle to support the use of the word “detox” on its label.
Can a supplement of Greens to increase my immunity?
Many powders green contain ingredients that are linked to an immune system more healthy. In particular, the majority are a source of antioxidants that protect the body’s cells from free radicals, damaging molecules that can contribute to cancer risk. Therefore, it can be argued that antioxidants can reduce your risk of disease.
The same can be said of many of the nutrients that are often found in a powder greens, such as vitamins A, C, E, B-6, zinc, selenium, iron and copper. Any supplement containing any quantity of any of these micronutrients could potentially improve the immunity.
What is the best powder of green in general?
For several reasons, Athletic Greens came out on top as the best dust general greens.
There are many major contenders for powder green which provide a great amount of vitamins, minerals, benefits of digestive and anti-oxidants, and quantify their claims. (This is the most difficult part: the majority of products do not support the claims they make).

Shakeology is also a product that is exceptionally nutritious, with 17 grams per serving, it works as a protein shake. The best powder green for antioxidants
We think that Living Fuel Supergreens was the first in antioxidants, with some caveats. It is one of the few powders green that reveals its classification ORAC, which means Absorption Capacity, Radical Oxygen, and used to measure their antioxidant potency. Your rating ORAC is 82.800 per serving, which is higher than six cups of blueberries.
It has a ton of micronutrients, with a 8000 percent of RDI of vitamin B12, an 860 percent of your vitamin C, and a 45 percent of your calcium and iron daily. But at $ 5.66 per serving, it is extremely expensive. In addition, a portion is huge: half a cup. Therefore, while it provides the highest amount of antioxidants per serving, it’s technically not provides highest amount of antioxidants per gram or per dollar. Learn more about Living Fuel Supergreens here.
ORAC-Energy Greens is also a good product. In terms of antioxidants per tablespoon and per dollar, exceeds that of Living Fuel. Their ORAC values is 40,000 per portion, in addition to throw 1.2 billion of probiotics, many adaptogens, has a very mild flavor and only costs a dollar per serving.
CytoGreens for athletes is the third for antioxidants with 4,470 ORAC per serving. This is significantly less that the two main contenders, but the scale ORAC is the only real way to quantify the antioxidant content of a product, and most products just don’t do it. CytoGreens is also a great source of chlorophyll, adaptogens and digestive enzymes.
The best green powder for digestive health
We think that Green Vibrance was the winner of the digestive health.
Contains 25 billion probiotic bacteria and are of twelve different strains, which means that they provide a wider range of benefits and an intestinal microbioma more diverse. That’s ten times more probiotics than most of its competitors, and it also has six types of digestive enzymes. It is also very nutritious, with 250 percent of the RDA of vitamin D3, 80 percent of your vitamin C, 70 percent of your selenium, 60 percent of your vitamin K, and 40 percent of your vitamin B12. Don’t know very well, is a little grassy, but at $ 1.08 per portion worth. Learn more about Green Vibrance here.
Macro Greens from MacroLife Naturals is in second place with 18 billion probiotics per serving of five strains, in addition to four types of digestive enzymes.
LivingFuel SuperGreens is the third, with 7.5 billion probiotics per serving of three strains and seven types of digestive enzymes, also.
The best green powder for athletes
Made by Beach Body, Shakeology doubles very well as a protein shake and a green powder.
A tablespoon contains 17 grams of protein and 17 grams of carbohydrates, as well as the 100% or more of your daily vitamins A, C, B-6, B-12 and manganese. It also has huge amounts of Vitamins D, E, K, folic acid, calcium and iron. In addition, it contains adaptogens, which are said to enhance recovery from exercise.
The disadvantage is that to $ 4.33 per serving, it is very expensive. Shakeology also sells their product “Boosts” such as Digestive Health and Power Greens. These are not worth the money; they increase the cost of the portion to be $ 7.08 and added ingredients that are already in Shakeology, such as probiotics and greens. Just stay with Shakeology regular, is more than enough. Learn more about Shakeology here.
Living Fuel Supergreens is a great alternative which is also vegan (as opposed to Shakeology, which contains whey). It has more protein, calcium, iron and vitamins A, C, E, and B-12 that is in Shakeology. However, it is even more expensive and you don’t know so well.
CytoGreens for athletes from Novaforme is, as its name indicates, is targeted specifically to the athletes. This is a green powder more traditional than not provides a lot of protein per serving, but it is a little cheaper (around $ 2 per serving) and contains many antioxidants, probiotics and chlorophyll. It also states that it has been shown in clinical trials to help reduce muscle pain and increase strength in athletes, but we could not find studies real.
The powder of vegetables with better flavor
We think that Athletic Greens tasted the best, creamy and tropical with a touch of ginger. (Macro Greens tastes more or less the same, only without the ginger).
All Day Energy Greens has a taste of berries mixed with hints of grape and carrot, and it was the best flavor that we tried. It is also a product highly effective in itself, full of vitamins A, C, D, K, folic acid and B12, plus it is very cheap.
Greens First has a taste of mint green pretty good if you don’t like the taste of the berries, or the creamy and tropical things.

Ormus Super Greens from Sun Warrior is 55 cents per serving, it provides 2 billion probiotics from seven varieties, is completely organic and contains a lot of wheat grass, oat grass and barley grass that most people want in a green powder. However, you do not know very well, and is not particularly rich in vitamins and minerals.
Amazing Grass is the green powder cheapest that we found, to 52 cents per serving. I did not know bad and was a source of decent Vitamins (25 percent of your RDA), C (57 per cent), K (88 percent), and iron (8 per cent), in addition to containing digestive enzymes, prebiotics, and probiotics for digestive health. The downside was that it did not quantify their content of probiotics or their content of antioxidants.
The best powder of vegetables to lose weight
Disclaimer: Please note that none of these products describe themselves as supplements weight loss and should not be taken as such. Please consult with a healthcare professional before starting any weight loss protocol.
Athletic Greens was our powder vegetable favorite to lose weight, and this is the reason.
In the first place, a powder of green are not supplements weight loss and should not be used as such, but many do have ingredients that have been linked with weight loss. The ingredients most promising that are typically used in powder green to levels that are likely to be most effective are probiotic bacteria, and chlorophyll. Athletic Greens has the best balance here.
CytoGreens for athletes is also a good choice, as one serving contains twenty-one times more chlorophyll than a serving of green, leafy vegetables. However, it does not contain any probiotic bacteria, so that is not maximizing their effectiveness in this regard.
Vitamineral Greens ranked third in terms of weight loss, as it is very rich in chlorophyll: one serving contains approximately 5 mg of spirulina, chlorella and the juice of several types of grass. It also contains 15 mg of probiotic bacteria, although there is no information about how many bacteria means that weight.
It was not easy to check all these powders and green. Many, many, many of them using marketing tactics misleading and offer an inferior product. But after digging a lot of mud, we found some supplements really excellent. We believe that you will be as impressed with them as we are.
